Invisalign

Invisalign is a system for straightening and realigning teeth in a way that’s more aesthetically pleasing to some people than conventional braces. Invisalign uses a system of clear trays, molded specifically for your mouth, that gradually bring your teeth into alignment.

Invisalign

Invisalign helps correct crowding, gaps, rotated or twisted teeth, teeth that are too far forward or back, or notches at the gum line.

During a consultation with Dr. Silvers, she will explain how Invisalign works. If you decide to move forward, you will get X-rays and a highly accurate digital scan of your mouth done at the dental radiology unit across the hall from her office. Once your aligners are created, you’ll be ready to get started. Dr. Silvers will design a schedule for wearing the trays and getting regular check-ups based on your needs.

Is Invisalign as effective as braces?

Yes, in fact, Invisalign is even more efficient at moving your teeth. It is most effective for people who have already had orthodontic treatment of some kind and just need to straighten out a minor problem. But it can be used for more complex cases too. Dr. Silvers will assess your situation and explain whether Invisalign is a good option for you.

How long does Invisalign take?

The length of time you’ll use the Invisalign trays depends on the complexity of your situation. Most people average between 6 and 9 months, but it can take anywhere from 3 months to 2 years.

Is Invisalign more expensive than braces?

Invisalign costs about the same as conventional braces. Dr. Silvers offers a four-tiered payment system for Invisalign, so the price you pay will be based on the complexity of your treatment.

Is Invisalign covered by insurance?

Insurance coverage depends on your dental plan. If you have orthodontic coverage, Invisalign will be covered.
