Meet Dr. Jennifer Silvers

Comprehensive Family, Implant, and Cosmetic Dentist and Practice Owner

Mountain View’s Local Dentist

Dr. Jennifer Silvers was born at the hospital across the street from her office and raised on the Peninsula. With a lifelong interest in science, she initially aspired to be an entomologist but soon realized her love for insects was better suited as a hobby.

Inspired by her dentist father, Dr. David Johnson, Dr. Silvers chose a career in dentistry, enlisting as a dental assistant in the US Army. Her military dental training confirmed her desire to become a dentist, leading her to earn her doctorate in dental surgery from the University of the Pacific’s dental school in San Francisco.

Dr. Silvers continued her education and training through a clinical program, residency, and early employment as a dentist with the military, working in Washington state and Texas. Known for her compassion and ability to ease patient anxiety, she was frequently referred to by nervous patients. She received the Thomas B. Hartzell Award for Clinical Periodontics in 2012 and the Army Achievement Medal in 2017 for her humanitarian work treating Native American populations in Montana.

Eventually, Dr. Silvers returned to California to join and later take over her father's practice. She also contributes to the education of future dentists as a faculty member at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Dr. Silvers is dedicated to providing premium dental care that is personalized to each patient, and she values the relationships she builds with her patients over the years. Her favorite aspect of dentistry is restoring smiles for patients with chipped or cracked teeth. Following her professional motto, “Strive for perfection, accept excellence,” she takes great pride in her work, even hand-sculpting fillings to ensure the most natural look possible.

Education and Training

Dr. Silvers enlisted as a dental assistant in the Army in 2004. After receiving dental training in the military, she knew she wanted to become a dentist. She completed her undergraduate studies in cellular biology at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and then graduated with honors from the University of the Pacific’s School of Dentistry. She is extremely dedicated to staying on top of her field, and each year, she gets more continuing education hours than she could possibly keep track of.
